Lakewood Ranch keeps growing. New villages, construction traffic, and four I-75 interchanges all feed the same roads, and storm season reaches every roof here, new or not. If you were hurt in a crash, or your insurance company is stalling on a damage claim, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Suli Law Group has an office right here, at 9040 Town Center Pkwy, and we meet clients by appointment. Founder and Managing Attorney Laura T. Sulisufay defended these claims for insurers, so she knows how a carrier values your case and where it pushes back. You work directly with your attorney, and you pay no fees or costs unless we win.

What Makes a Lakewood Ranch Case Its Own
Lakewood Ranch sits in two counties, Manatee and Sarasota. Waterside was its first village built on the Sarasota side. Your street address can put you in one county while your crash happened in the other, and that question comes up early in a case.
Here is the good news. Both counties belong to Florida’s Twelfth Judicial Circuit, so the same circuit and the same state law apply on either side of the line. Where a lawsuit gets filed depends on facts like where the crash happened and where the at-fault driver or company is based. We sort that out at the start, so it never costs you time.
The roads tell the rest of the story. Traffic comes off I-75 at four interchanges, University Parkway, State Road 70, State Road 64, and Fruitville Road, then spreads out along Lakewood Ranch Boulevard into the villages. Commuters, delivery vans, and construction crews all share the same lanes.
More than 80,000 people now live across 40-plus villages, and new homes are still going up in many of them. New construction means work trucks, changing intersections, and drivers who don’t know the roads yet. When one of them hits you, the insurer’s first move is usually to minimize what happened.
Newer homes aren’t storm-proof, either. Hurricane Milton came ashore near Siesta Key in October 2024 as a Category 3 storm. A new roof doesn’t stop a carrier from underpaying. Florida gives you one year from the date of loss to report a new property claim and 18 months for a supplemental claim, and we make sure those dates don’t slip.
Insurers know all of this. So do we. Laura defended these claims for insurers, and now that experience works for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I meet with a lawyer at your Lakewood Ranch office?
Yes. We meet clients there by appointment, at 9040 Town Center Pkwy. If your injuries make the trip hard, we can meet by phone or video instead.
My crash happened on the Sarasota side of Lakewood Ranch. Does that change anything?
Not much. Manatee and Sarasota Counties are both in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, and the same Florida law applies in both. Where a lawsuit is filed can depend on where the crash happened and where the at-fault person or company is based, and we work that out with you at the start.
How long do I have to file a personal injury lawsuit in Florida?
For most injury cases from accidents after March 24, 2023, you have two years from the date of the accident to file a lawsuit. Some claims, such as those against a government agency, have their own notice rules, and waiting too long can cost you evidence.
What does it cost to hire you?
Nothing up front. Your consultation is free, and we work on contingency: no fees or costs unless we win.
