Albanian Lawyer in Florida (Avokat Shqiptar)

Yes, there’s an Albanian lawyer in Florida, and you just found her. I’m Laura Sulisufay, an Albanian American attorney and a member of the Albanian-American Bar Association. I run Suli Law Group in Tampa, and I represent Albanian families across Florida in injury and property insurance cases. Flasim shqip. Call (813) 592-0000 and start in Albanian.

Po, flasim shqip. Yes, we speak Albanian.

At Suli Law Group in Tampa, your whole case can happen in Albanian: the first call, the questions at midnight, the big decisions at the end.

And maybe you’re not the one who’s hurt. Maybe you’re the daughter or the son, reading this in English because Mom asked you to find someone. I see it in our community all the time. The kids translate the letters, sit on hold with the adjuster, carry the whole thing on top of work and school. You shouldn’t have to. Hand it to me. I’ll talk to your parents directly, in the language they think in, and nothing gets lost on the way.

What kind of cases do you take?

Two kinds: injury cases and property insurance cases. If someone hurt you, I go after their insurance company. If your own insurer won’t pay what it owes on your home, I go after yours.

That covers car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, falls, wrongful death, and homeowners claims that got denied, delayed, or underpaid, hurricane and water damage included. It’s the same fight either way. A company took your money, made you a promise, and now doesn’t want to keep it.

Why does it matter that my lawyer speaks Albanian?

According to Laura Sulisufay, a Tampa injury attorney who previously defended insurance

Now let me say something to our community directly. We keep our word. Besa is how we were raised, and it’s why so many of us handle things quietly and never ask twice. But hear me on this. Your insurance policy is the company’s besa to you. You paid for that promise every month, on time, for years. Holding them to it isn’t complaining, and it isn’t shameful. It’s collecting on a promise you already bought.

Florida law hands the insurer a weapon here, and you should know about it. Since March 24, 2023, if they can pin more than half the blame on you, you collect nothing. Not less. Nothing. That’s Fla. Stat. § 768.81(6), and it’s exactly what that friendly recorded statement is for. One wrong sentence in your second language can hand them the case. Talk to me before you talk to them.

Which parts of Florida do you cover?

All of it. My main office is in Tampa and my license works in all 67 Florida counties. Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, Orlando, Naples, Boca Raton, Miami: if you’re Albanian and you’re in Florida, I can represent you.

Most of a case runs on phone calls, email, and court filings anyway, in whichever language you’re comfortable in. When your case needs me in person, I come to you. And if you’re near Tampa, come sit down with my team and have a coffee. We’ll talk it through, no clock running.

How long do I have?

Two years, for most injury cases. As of Florida’s 2023 tort reform, most injury lawsuits must be filed within 2 years of the accident under Fla. Stat. § 95.11(5)(a), and wrongful death carries the same 2 year deadline under § 95.11(5)(e).

There are faster clocks running inside that one. After a car crash, you have 14 days to get initial medical care or you can lose your no-fault PIP benefits. Fla. Stat. § 627.736(1)(a). On a property claim, your insurer must get notice within 1 year of the date of loss, and a supplemental claim within 18 months. Fla. Stat. § 627.70132(2).

One caution. Accidents from before March 24, 2023 can still fall under the old 4 year rule, and other exceptions exist in both directions. Don’t do this math alone, and don’t let a deadline quietly close your case while you’re still healing. Call me. I’ll run your dates for free.

What will it cost?

No fee unless we recover. The consultation is free, and we can hold it in Albanian or English.

You pay nothing to find out where you stand. Bring the denial letter that’s been sitting on the kitchen table. Bring your photos, the police report, or just your story. I’ll tell you straight whether you have a case and what it will take.

If you got hurt, or your insurance company is playing games with your claim, call me at (813) 592-0000. Suli Law Group, Tampa. The consultation is free, and there is no fee unless we recover. I spent years working for insurance companies. Now everything I learned over there works for people like you. Flasim shqip dhe ju mirëpresim në zyrën tonë në Tampa.
