Stephanie Herrera-Monteiro is a legal assistant at Suli Law Group and, for most clients, the first voice they hear. She answers the firm’s main line, walks new clients through the intake process, connects callers with the right member of the team, and keeps the office’s day-to-day running. Calling a law firm for the first time can feel intimidating. Stephanie’s job is to make sure it isn’t.
Before joining the firm, Stephanie worked as a sexual assault victim advocate, supporting survivors through some of the hardest moments of their lives. That work taught her to listen without judgment, to explain what happens next in plain terms, and to treat every person who calls with patience and care, and it is exactly what she brings to clients dealing with an injury or damage to their home. Her favorite part of the job is the sense of relief clients feel once they know the firm is in their corner. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and psychology from the University of South Florida and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Originally from Queens, New York, Stephanie has called the Tampa Bay area home for about five years. Outside the office she is a self-described gym nut who loves staying active, a die-hard football fan (Philadelphia Eagles, and she stands by that in Bucs country), and always hunting for a new restaurant to try in Tampa or St. Pete with her closest friends. Fun fact: she has traveled to 19 countries and counting.
