Team Member Spotlight

Colton Beck is an attorney at Suli Law Group, where he represents injured people and policyholders across Florida. Most of his clients meet him on one of the worst days of their lives, after a crash, a denied insurance claim, or a home torn open by a storm. Colton never forgets that. Clients know him for his empathy, his straight answers, and the fact that he personally works their case from the first call to the final resolution.

Before joining Suli Law Group, Colton was a property insurance attorney representing homeowners and business owners in disputes against their own insurance companies. He served as lead trial counsel and tried multiple first-party property insurance cases to verdict, and he has recovered millions of dollars for clients through settlements, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, along with substantial court-awarded attorney’s fees paid by the insurance companies. He knows how insurers defend these cases, and he prepares every claim as if a jury will decide it.

Colton began his legal career as an assistant public defender in Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, defending people who often had no one else in their corner. When Colton was at the Public Defender’s Office, he tried 9 jury trials and more than 30 juvenile bench trials, deposed over 100 witnesses including police officers, detectives, and eyewitnesses, and argued more than 50 evidentiary motions on issues like coerced confessions and illegal searches. He sat with clients every day, in those client meetings he learned to listen first, explain the law in plain English, and fight for people the system had already counted out. The Public Defender’s Office is where Colton learned the two things that still define his practice today: how to try a case, and how to treat a client.

Outside the office, Colton is a proud science fiction nerd who loves the outdoors, long-distance running, and football.
